  Taking place at Union Park in Chicago, Illinois, The North Coast Music Festival is happy to announce its return for their 5th year anniversary celebration. Known as “summer’s last stand”, this festival usually kicks off around Labor Day weekend. In 2014NCMF will begin August 29th and come to a close August 31st. North Coast features some of the world’s hottest artists from genres ranging from electronic to indie as well as hip-hop, making the festival well attended for its diversity.

      North Coast’s 2013 lineup was filled with a wide range of headliners: Passion Pit, Wu-Tang, Big Gigantic, Lotus, Mac Miller, NaS and Afrojack. Who were preluded by a openers such as Datsik, Gramatik, Madeon, Paper Diamond, Danny Brown, Flatbush Zombies, Cherub, Seven Lions, Gary Clark Jr. and many more. The shows take place on five different stages equipped with massive visualizers, lasers, and smoke machines set up throughout Union Park, giving the festival an outdoorsy feel while being nestled in the center of the busy city surrounding it.

       Though North Coast’s grounds lie within a park, sleeping arrangements may be made at one of the multiple hotels found throughout the city. Food is far from a concern of festival goers with a wide variety of eating accommodations made available by over 20 local vendors, including vegetarian, vegan and non-gluten options all on the grounds. If NCMF hasn’t already captured your attention with its wide variety when it comes to artists, environments, and food, the festival’s generosity will. While North Coast donates a portion of each ticket sale to their non-profit partner, the International Latino Cultural Center of Chicago. NCMF also sets up multiple ticket-winning contests to give all ravers a chance at making it through the gates.The 2014 lineup is yet to be announced, but early bird (three day) tickets have already been sold out for the low price of $96.
